Using techniques and approaches from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy (ST), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dr Kilbane can provide therapeutic support in relation to various issues including :
Low mood, depression and chronic suicidality.
Anxiety and specific phobias
Self harm
Emotional dysregulation
Obsessions and compulsions
Interpersonal and relational difficulties
Complex trauma
Low self-esteem and difficulties with sense of identity and self.
Dr Kilbane has extensive experience providing specialist support for those with different neurotypes such as Autism, ADHD, specific learning differences such as dyslexia, extreme (or pathological) demand avoidance and anxiety, Tourettes and those who have broader or subclinical neurodevelopmental profiles. Therapeutic support is available in relation to issues such as;
Adjusting to late or adult diagnosis
Neurodivergency burnout recovery and prevention
Understanding your unique neurotype and associated needs for regulation and well-being
Autistic / ADHD / AuDHD identity and masking
Executive functioning differences across all life settings
Arousal and emotional regulation
Developing healthy and adaptive self schema (beliefs) in the context of late diagnosis and/or the impact of trauma

Therapy sessions last 60 minutes and can be delivered in the following ways;
In person from May 2026 in newly renovated premises at Tayside Complete Health, Dock Street, Dundee, DD1 3DR only minutes from Dundee train station, bus station and city centre parking.
Online
Outside in local spaces including beaches, woodland, nature reserves and other green spaces across Angus, Dundee, Perth and Kinross and North Fife.
You may choose to use a combination of the above on a flexible basis.
